Pray for TWPC-EC: To make disciples.

Read and Ponder:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 ESV).

Food for Thought:

Listen attentively – Who has all authority? Our Lord Jesus has all authority, for it has been given to Him. What has He commissioned us to do? We are called to go and make disciples of all nations.

Respond willingly – Remember that our Lord Jesus has promised to be with us always, and that all authority has been given to Him. We go and make disciples not in our own strength or effort, but through the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.

Prayers:

  1. Pray that we will carefully ponder the words of our Lord Jesus.
  2. Pray that we will not hesitate to be His witnesses wherever He places us.
  3. Pray that we will courageously and confidently go and make disciples of all nations.
  4. Pray that we will faithfully teach others the blessed Word of God, including His commandments and promises.
